Some of the things that tug on my heart strings . . .

This experimental journal page was made using cardboard from a cereal box and copper wire strung with beads. Overall, I think this experiment is relatively successful.

I'm fairly pleased - except for the fact that the cardboard (even though it was gessoed prior to gluing all of the elements down), seemed to warp a bit after drying. It isn't easy being green!

Hi Terri, I'm sure the first Greeners were thought to be a little warped themselves. Now it's the "IN" thing so that would make your cereal box very "IN" also warped or not. I love it and the fact that it's beginnings were made to hold something nutritious for the body and your book was made to hold something nutritious for our minds.

Oh, Bernie! Thank you SO much for your remarks. You made my heart sing with your generous comments. You can't see me, but I'm smiling from ear to ear!

I love this little heart - the beading is so fun and twinkly. And, I love knowing the background info - always fun to know how something started out. I love hearts almost as much as fish!
