Home Again & a Friday Freebie

"Dapper Dan"
(For your artful pleasure!)

I fell in love with this
swanky guy
and hope that
you'll find a good
use for him!

From the Library of Congress

Although we had a wonderful trip through scenic Maine, and were "wowed" by the gorgeous scenery in beautiful Nova Scotia, after being "on the road" for almost two weeks, it's sooooooo good to be home!

Thank you, My Friends, for your wonderful Birthday wishes and greetings. You really made my Birthday so special. And even though I may not have commented as often as I would have liked, I did managed to "lurk" around your beautiful blogs a bit while I was gone to see what you were up to. Your gorgeous work made my heart sing!

I'm soooo ready to start my art, but I've got a few days of life and laundry to deal with first. We returned home to find that our refrigerator died an ignominious death while we were away. Our son, who was house-sitting for us, managed to live out of coolers and a tiny fridge for a week! Oh, Dear! It's back to reality with a BIG bang!!! LOL!!!

Hope that you enjoy a relaxing weekend!

Hello, good artist! I am visiting your inspiring blog for the first time today. I'm jumping for joy that I found it. I've been looking around at art journals and the whole concept really, for quite a while now. I like what you said in your profile, because that's what I am beginning to think. I am not a talented artist like you, but I am feeling all the fun as I explore! I had a birthday in September, too. Belated Happy Happy!
Carolyn, from Love Stitching Red, has given me some wonderful tips, so now I am happy to know about YOU too!

Now it is time for you to cozy in for Fall and hope by today you get to play in your studio rather then do laundry and all the mundane things we have to do :)
