Home Again!

There's no place like home!

Look at what was waiting for us when we arrived home! We were on vacation in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina when we heard that a huge snowstorm was threatening our area. Since the last place we wanted to be was on an interstate in the middle of a snowstorm, we decided to end our vacation early and drove for twelve hours to get home before the snowflakes began to fall.

It was a hellish drive, but well worth it. Within hours of arriving home, the snow began to fall. And it fell, and fell and fell for almost 48 hours. The storm dumped 22" worth of heavy, snow that covered everything (including my beautiful periwinkle swing) with a thick white blanket.

But snow wasn't the only thing that was waiting for me. My worktable was filled with winnings from the One World One Heart event. My heart sang with gratitude as I opened each of these lovely packages.

Thank you, Kathy!

There was a beautiful, handmade lampwork bead from Ema, a box filled with a handmade journal, folk art doll and the book, "Simple Abundance", from Angie. And last, but not least, a package filled to the brim with all sorts of ephemera and collage "toys" from Kathy. Thank you, thank you beautiful ladies for your generosity and kindness.

Hoping that you're safe and warm!

Wow, just look at that snow, it does look pretty, but too bad you had to get home early to avoid driving in it.

Beautiful gifts you won too Terri, I have had Simple Abundance for years and years and still read a page now and again :)

Welcome Home Terri!

shame you had to cut your vacation a wee bit short, but it was a wise move for certain!

Gorgeous white stuff when you are cozy and warm with no where to go!

Art mail is the best, you had a very fine array of lovelies waiting for your return!
Happy Sunday to you and yours!

I'm delighted that you are home, safe and sound (and warm, of course). Your deck and periwinkle swing look absolutely inviting under the blanket of snow. What a lovely home you have, nestled in what looks like a veritable forest of trees. I'm sure you really DO believe there's no place like home. I know I'm glad to see you back.

Oh Terri I am so glad you had a Vacation! What a lovely lovely thing:)

The snow is beautiful but SOOOO tiresome! We are still getting snow in Oklahoma! This is unheard of at this time of the year here. We usually are in the 60's and shorts and flipflops are on the mind in the end of February.

Sendin you A HUGE hug to!

Look at you lucky girl! I love the photos of the snow - I know it's a lot of work but here on the west coast, we never see it like this - so beautiful and serene......
