"Create Art"

Create Art
4"x6" Collage
(Click on a star to see the details!)

For whatever reason, it seems as though I've been in a pink art mood lately. And, frankly speaking, I'm NOT a pink person by any stretch of the imagination.  My personal preference tends to lean towards purple, green and teal, yet my work is always rich with the radiance of orange and red. Which gives me pause for thought . . .

When I look at the body of my work, patterns of color preference weave and wind their way through my creations. When you look at your work, do you favor certain color patterns too?

love it as usual terri! I never really thought about what colors I use...guess it all depends on the piece. I adore pink and orange together!

She has to create, you have to create, we all have to create something.
At least we try, but your creations are truely art.

Great collage Terri! Maybe you gravitate toward orange and reds b/c you have a lot of creative energy. I seem to like to use orange and aqua in my pieces.
Have a colorful day yourself!

I always think I am a blue green person, but I think it is mostly jewelry! When I look at my art all together, it is usually orangy, rusty, raspberry. In any case, your art is gorgeous...keep creating!

Wonderful piece (as always) Terri! I was thinking about colour lately. I am most definitely NOT a PINK person! Having said this, I do use pink in my pieces at times. Seems I either go for very bold pieces in my surface design to a very muted palette in my textile collages - go figure....

OK, I know it seems like I am always saying this ... but here goes ... this piece REALLY speaks to me, in every detail AND I think the pink works beautifully.
There are so many colors out there, it's a shame not to give them each a try I try and tell myself. It is easy to fall back on our favs ... I was pleasantly surprised the other day using orange ... not my first color choice, but it was fun to play with.
Thank you for sharing your inspiring art creations with us!

Hi Terri,
Miss Daydreamer here who has stopped by several times, clicked on this link or that one in your posts and forgets to come back to comment! Another way of stating that, I really enjoy visiting - -your art, links, etc. get my creative juices and my wandering mind whirling.

About that favorite color(s)...I believe that it is a cyclical type of thing for me. Just like I choose my clothing depending on mood, the same goes with creating. But in creating art stuff, I tend to lean more towards the aquas, pinks, chartruese, lavenders, buttery yellow, etc. How's that for narrowing it down?!

xo, Sue
