Madame X - "Freebie"

A PNG File
For your artful pleasure!
And . . .
A JPEG

John Singer Sargent is one of my favorite portrait artists. No one seemed to capture a woman's spirit quite the way he did. "Madame X" was one of his favorite portraits. The model, an American expatriate, married a French banker and became notorious in Parisian high society for her beauty and rumored infidelities.

I've taken the liberty to extract the beautiful Madame from Sargent's original painting. Can't wait to see what new stories and settings you'll create for her!

May your day be filled with inspiration!

Wow she is so elegant. I have a dress that is very similar to this one. I just wish I had the waist line that this woman has. Thank you so much!

Right from the get-go after viewing her waistline, I'm convinced she's never indulged in the amount of chocolate I've consumed during my lifetime! Ha! An exquisite pic for sure..thanks for sharing her, Terri! Xo, Sue

Thank you for Madame X, all the beautiful art you've shared, and, not in the least, all the kindness and encouragement you've given me for the past 2 years, dear friend!

Oooh, she's a mysterious looker, she is! Beautiful! Thank you, Terri!

Loved seeing the vacation pix. I knew you'd have some good ones. Now I want to make a lobster fairy. So glad you're home but so glad you had such a fun trip!

I like Sargent, too. I may not use her, but I sure appreciate the history of the painting. I've been here twice today and couldn't leave a comment. I finally see the word verification, so hoping this one goes through. Have a great weekend and I hope to see you Sunday evening.

Hi Terry,
So nice to hear from you again.
It is so hard to make the round on blogs and I feel so bad, when I can't do it.I think I need some kind of a reader or something to keep up and respond.

Love this portrait png. do you know anyone that can make a blog header for me?.. I love yours, and I know you used your own art as well.
Love love love it..
hugs, Darlene

Thanks for the freebie, Terri. Actually, the lady could pass for our new Prime Minister - a first for Australia, a woman in the highest office. She has the red hair and lean look but her SCHNOZ is more than a tad bigger than that of Madame X.

Read the book called Strapless - the subject is this lady and the painting and the turn of events that took place when it was unveiled.
