Final Envie Journal Page!

(Click on any picture to see the details!)

Hip, Hip, Horray!!! Picture me doing a happy dance in my stocking feet!!!! I've made the deadline with little time to spare. I've completed all six pages - as well as the inserts - for my altered envie journal swap, and they're safely in the hands of the hostess.

Details - Front

Did you notice that I said they're "safely in the hands of the hostess"?!? I had a panic attack when my husband handed me the post office receipt for this swap. It read that the package was to be delivered  somewhere in New Jersey when, instead, it was supposed to be delivered to someone in Pennsylvania. Who knew that one digit could render this package "homeless"!

Details - Back

I didn't put the wrong address on the package. Apparently the post office person keyed in the wrong zip code, and my precious package containing month's and month's of work was delivered safely after all!

Insert

I've learned an invaluable lesson from this experience. The next time I post a size-able project, I will spend more money on postage and will get a tracking number!!!

I'm so glad to hear that the package made it to the hostess. I know the horrors of the postal service first hand, so a bit extra to ensure it gets there is well worth the gray hair and stress it can cause.

This final piece is wonderful, and as colorful as always. They are SO you! Even the insert is so you. I have had fun seeing all these pieces as you made and showed them.

I knew I would love this as soon as I saw the large face..as you know, faces are my thing. But, what a surprise to see the shrinky dinks you added. The textured ribbons, vibrant colors..all blend perfectly.

You are exactly right about paying more for postage and getting a tracking number. Thanks for the reminder, I'm shipping today and nervous. Sad that we all seem to feel that way about our postal service isn't it?

Just as well you saw the mistake in zip code before sending. What a tragedy if such a treasure had gone missing.
Terri, your art envelope and journal work is superbly splendiferous. Amazing.
