Mail Art

 Altered Envelope
Front

Back

Something about making mail art always makes me happy. Maybe it's because I'm anticipating the recipient's reaction when they open their mailbox to find a colorful piece of mail art instead of an invoice that needs to be paid. This particular piece was created for a private swap.

Wishing you a day filled with happy, little surprises!

I love doing mail art, as well! I share this with Rena, my artist friend and then, a normal day is magic. Thanks for the beauty friend. Blessings.

I always look forward to seeing your mail art. It would be so nice to open my mailbox and find something so bright and cheerful as your envelope. And yes, it is fun to make them and imagine the look on others faces when they open the mailbox too.

Shoot! Maybe "bill collectors" should put their bills in envelopes like this just to soften the pain a bit! Hey...maybe this is a business opportunity for you to explore! But I do agree wholeheartedly that receiving mail tucked in something like this produces instant joy! Such a labor of love! Xo, Sue

when you create mail art it can only be a good thing ... the thought of how many smiles you must bring along with oh's and ah's too!
and then there is the lucky recipient ... it's all good as the kids say ;)

I apologize for being so late getting here. I've had horrible back spasms since Saturday and simply can't sit for long. I really love all the details you have added to this piece. I simply love how rich you have made a "simple" piece of mail art. It makes me smile.
