My Studio

Welcome to my studio!

A few of us in my art group decided to share some photos of our creative spaces.  Since I cleaned up for the virtual tour, I thought I'd share my tiny studio with you too. I stood in the center of the space (as best I could), and took these pics in a circle so you can have a nice overview of the space.

It may be small, but it's comfortable. I'm surrounded with all of my favorite things and my most used art supplies are within easy reach.

There's even a little bed for Miss Tootsie, my Mini-Schnauzer. She's an awesome assistant! (Apologies for this picture being a bit blurry.)

My desk, which is really an old kitchen table, faces two windows. I found that I can't work without a "view"!

The fairy lights are up all year long. I love the glow they give at night. And I couldn't work without my Ott lights. Their light bulbs replicate daylight.

And yes, there's more storage in the closet. I've outfitted it with two small bookshelves, and they hold all of my reference books and a lot of supplies that I used for my murals. Hope you enjoyed this little peek into my world!

Wishing you a day filled with time to make art!

This looks like a great space Terri. It may be small but it looks very functional to me! I like the idea of the lights being up all year - kind of a nice "glow" at night. Think I might do this too! Aren't ott-lites great!

So glad to have seen your studio. I love it. I'm stealing an idea from you. The lights! Yes. I need twinkle lights in my studio! They look so nostalgic and romantic in yours.

Great space terri! Glad to have gotten a look into Pringle Hill studio! I love my Ott light too. Couldn't live without. Please tell me it doesn't always look this neat...I'll have to clean up the glitterbug and take some pics for the nest too. Sounds like a good project for me when I get out of work today. Oh BTW, you know those funny words blogger makes you type in to leave a comment? I just looked and mine is "puthoot"! That's the funniest one so far! Just thought I'd share that!

Sweet little studio, I like cozy too. Love the idea of the fairy lights glowing at night! And a dog bed of course, only in my case for 5. xox Corrine

Totally AWESOME space, Terri. You actually have a lot of room and that closet is a wonderful idea because it would hide a ton of sins, err, clutter. Like you, I much prefer a view when making art. Your desk is wonderful. I need one I can sit at, but it seems I would still stand when I make art. Thanks for showing where the magic happens!!

I adore your little studio, I'm jealous! I don't have my own space, so every inch would be welcome! When I finally have a room, I might come back to you to ask about the daylight-lights...

I really like your studio, Terri! I love how your supplies are all within easy reach and I really like how you set up your worktable in front of the closet and facing the window. I might have to do something similar when I rearrange my space!

So nice to see a "normal" studio. I had been a little overwhelmed with Where Women Create!!
I love that what you need is within easy reach and you can SEE all of it! The room says create all over it-thanks for sharing it!

Oh Terri, your studio does look sooo cozy, I love it, and can picture you sitting there creating. I love the fairy lights around the closet too:)
It's not the size of a creative space that counts either, I find my new room is not as cozy as at the other house, but I am working on it :)
