New Video!

Stamped Watercolor Backgrounds

Roc and I are at it again! This time we're demonstrating a lovely watercolor effect using rubber stamps and art markers. We had a lot of fun doing this demo and would love your input. What demos would YOU like to see in 2011?

May your day be filled with beauty!

I had as much fun watching this video as you and Roc had making it. I like this technique, too. I especially was inspired by the paper bags you made and decided to use the technique for the backs of my fabric art quilts. Thanks for inspiring me.

Anything you make in 2011, I'll be here to watch, dear.

what a super technique! i think you guys are having so much fun and that is so good for us!! i was thinking about another step for you here...you said you liked the red dot that was an accident...you could stamp another tree on another sheet of paper, cut out the basic shape...lay it over the top of your dried piece...color red marker on an old toothbrush, spray with water and spatter red drops on the tree...lift off the mask and have red decorations on your tree!!! i'm so going to try your technique tomorrow!!!

thanks!

when i re-read what i wrote, it occurred to me that you could use the tree cut out on top of the water color tree to color the background or you could use the piece where the cut out came from to isolate the drops onto the tree, leaving the background white...fun!!!

Cynnie took the words right out of my mouth. I have to say I enjoy these videos more than any others I've watched on line. And this is so cool - but I really did need to 'see it' in action. Now I'll try it - thank you Roc and Terri!
