February Finished!

 February Journal Page
(Click on a heart to see the details!)

February was a month of "white" for us here in the Northeastern part of the US. And when our world wasn't covered in snow, it was filled with cold, gray skies. This page seemed to attain more color as the shortest month of the year dragged along . . .The darker and drearier the weather, the warmer (and hotter) my colors became!!! Escapism at it's best!!!

February "Before"

Just a note:  Although I do love my vividly colored heart-shaped days, in retrospect, I'd have made them a much lighter shade. It would have made journaling a bit easier. Thank goodness for my white paint pen. It truly saved the day!!!

If you'd like to see more calendar pages, a visit to Kate Crane's blog, TheKathrynWheel, is a must. (You can go there if you click here.) Check Kate's sidebar for links to this great project.

May your day be colored with happiness!

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous Terri.
Further explanation though on The Friday entry "get lost day"? LOL
We had the bulk of our snow and frost in December here in the UK so Feb on the whole wasn't too bad, deffinate signs of spring emerging!
Can't wait to see what colour burst you have in store for March.

Everytime I look at your work, I just marvel at the time and patience and TALENT you have Terri - and want to reach out and run my fingers over the little layers above the page. There's nothing better. Your ability to integrate images is just superb and I know what you mean about that need for color! It's a monochromatic season here and when I do see something colorful I am drawn to it like flies to honey!

Sometimes the only way to survive all the white and dreary days is to brighten them up with red hot orange. Gorgeous piece my friend.

The end result of your pages were gorgeous. I agree that the white pen was definitely needed for those bright pages of hearts. But the pen was just perfect for these pages and made the overall effect so special. I appreciate how you have your pages already decorated before the end of the month. For some reason, I have trouble with doing that. Of course, your art never ceases to amaze and impress me.

What do you use for your white paint pen? The ones that I have tried don't produce such a nice white. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you! Love your whimsical style!
