"Tweekles"

 "Spring"
(Click anywhere to see the details & read the jouraling!)

Several weeks ago I mentioned to my friend, Roc, that I had "little people dancing around in my head". When I doodled a quick pencil version for her, she told me that I should get them onto paper. So . . . on one of my many trips for art supplies, I picked up a tiny Strathmore Visual Journal (the mixed media one - approximately 3.5"x5"), and have been keeping it handy.

"Happy"

These little people are practically dancing onto the pages, and I'm really enjoying the playtime in my tiny journal. I've named them "Tweekles" because a dear friend gave me the nickname "Tweek" years and years ago, based on my initials "TWK".

Sometimes it's just fun to head in a different creative direction with no big expectations other than to doodle and play.

May your day be filled with the joy of creativity & discovery!

Such happy joyful pages Terri, love your Tweekles!! Your colours are always so yummy they make my heart sing. Hope your daffodils will peep through soon, ours have been smiling at the sun now for 4 days in a row and it just lifts ones heart.

Playing is always a good thing and your Tweekles are brilliant...so colorful (no surprise!) and such fun...what a nice little journal size that is...I have yet to locate an official Strathmore Journal

may be time to search again (had looked when Pam Carriker did her first free classes on Strathmore and could not find any)

Happy Spring...it's getting closer and closer!

FUN! Even the expressions on each of their faces match the sentiments of the journaling so well, Terri! Your February Tweekle could be named "DAMPSS"...using the letters from SAD [seasonal affective disorder] and PMS [no explantation needed]. She's just got that blended look of the two! ha ha! Give her some chocolate, NOW!!!!!

Loved the journaling on your March Tweekle...so true. The simple things can be the most meaningful and nourishing things. Well done!
XO, Sue

I love the Tweekles. They really are different from the art you have been creating recently. I think it was wise that you started adding them to paper. They are as funny and bright as you. They make me smile, just like when I visit, which sadly hasn't been anyone lately.

I don't know what I love more - your delicious doodling artwork or your coining of a new word "Tweekles". Terri, your artistry knows no bounds. Wow!

What fun when your Muse 'makes' you create ... a time to celebrate her and do as she bids! Your tweekles are like little sprites.
