"My Three Wishes"

 Journal Prompt
for July
(Click on a star to see the details!)

This month's journal prompt posed a very thought provoking question: "If you had three wishes, what would they be?" Decisions, decisions. I wavered between choosing "world peace" and wishing that I had my body of 30 years ago coupled with the brains and knowledge that I have now. Tough choice! LOL!!!

Of course, when all was said and done, honesty and my true heart's desires won out over vanity.

May all of your wishes come true!

Credits: Thanks to Julia @ Ceremony-Etsy, to Tumble Fish Studio @ Deviant Scrap, and to Dover Publications for some of the elements used in this piece.

I love your post today! Your wishes are so, simple -- yet profound. Beautiful artwork too. Thank you for sharing and for letting us know where you got some of the elements you used. You are inspiring me to attempt this type of work for the first time, but I had no idea where to turn for some of the things to work with.

Your girl actually looks like she is contemplating that question. I like your answers. Mine would be the same. World peace first and... Ah to have the body and face I had 30 years ago! Mind was good then too but emotions-not so good.

Wonderful spread Terri and I am glad you let honesty win and let your heart rather than your mind speak!

Will be posting mine in the next few hours.

May your wishes come true and may you have a wonderful creative week spreading smiles and happiness like you always do!!

World peace is so overrated. Your wishes are far more important and thought provoking. I wish you years of continued artistic growth, too. I know you often show me the way!

Ha Terri.. that's some lesson you teach me this early in the morning... I would go for the '30 years back and still have the brain' but when I read what you REALLY wrote on that page (picture me sideways hanging on the computertable to try and read it...) you are ofcourse right! You sweet 'art goeroe' you! Enjoy your week beautiful one!

World peace always makes me think of whirled peas.

I hope your wishes do come true! And a little sprinkling of whirled peas on top :)
