The Agony, The Ecstasy & The Giveaway!

The Agony
It's a good thing my loving husband of 34 years didn't look into my mouth before we got married, because he would've turned me down flat! Unfortunately for us, my teeth are a dentist's annuity.

Yesterday afternoon I had two dental implants. And last night . . . well, let's just say it was l-o-n-g night! Thank goodness for pharmaceutical intervention! Things seem to better this morning, and . . . on the bright side . . . I found out that swelling reduces facial wrinkles!!!! (Although I look a bit like a chipmunk with a mouthful of goodies!)

The Ecstasy & The Giveaway
Before I left for yesterday's torture, I received a message from my friend, Cathy, at Reflections of a Ramblin' Girl. Three lucky people, including yours truly, have won a prize in her recent "Pay It Forward" giveaway. Yaaay!!!! (I'm SO happy I won before I got to the periodontist. I could jump up and down, do the "happy dance" and yell "woo-hoo!" without pain!) Cathy's blog is a must read in my book. What a talented lady! You've got to stop by her blog to see her beautiful work.

One of the rules for participating in the drawing was the stipulation that if you were lucky enough to win, you have to post a giveaway on your blog too - in essence, paying it forward. Using Cathy's model, three winners will receive a lovely surprise sometime during the year. I'm not quite sure what the prizes will be or when they'll be delivered, as I'd like to do something special. This is my first giveaway, and I'm SO excited!

If you'd like to participate in the drawing, just leave a comment on my blog telling me that you're "in" between today and Friday, April 3rd. The three winners will be announced on Monday, April 6th. Again, if you do participate and are lucky enough to win, you MUST post a giveaway on your blog. If you enter, please leave a connecting link so that I can advise you of your win!

Good luck to everyone! I'm signing off to take more pharmaceuticals!

Hi Miss Terri! You poor lady! I hope by today you are feeling less pain. I inherited my mom's bad teeth - she used to say she had enough metal in her mouth to build a battleship. I think I do two and lots and lots of crowns. I know my day is coming for more "fun" dental work, like implants and root canals and so on. So, I do take great pity on you and hope you feel better and feel like smiling big beautiful smiles.

I have so enjoyed seeing all of your work since I met you. You are just exploding into all kinds of gorgeous work and it is such a pleasure to see and look at and ponder.

So, though I should be nice to everyone else and not enter your drawing, (because I keep winning everything this year!) I will be selfish and ask to be included. It would be such an honor to get a piece of your work.

Hope you have a great smiling, painless, art filled weekend!

Oh, Wow, Miss Marsha Tumblefish! It's an honor to have you ask!!!! (After all of your kind words, how can I say "No!"!!!) I DO realize that you've been on a winning streak lately, so why should we let it lapse?!? You are totally and completely "in"!!!!

Am feeling MUCH better today. I understand what your Mom was saying. My motto is: "All of my money is in my mouth!"

Thank you, thank you for your sweet, encouraging words. You truly motivate and inspire me. And thank you too for being one of my Tooth Fairies of good wishes! BIG Hugs (smiling a lop sided grin)!!!!! xoxoxo

Hi Terri, I too have had problem teeth all my life :( I have so many bridges and crowns now, my dentist is getting rich off me. Thank goodness for insurance. I also have a denist phobia so I go to sleep for all my work, I have to tell you though, I have rarely had any real pain afterwards, even with a root canal. I know, I'm weird LOL.

I can't commit to any PIF's at this time sorry, I have done it before and it is fun, but I am trying to cut back on activities if I can.

Hi, Lynn! Teeth problems SUCK!!! I totally understand your fear - I'm phoebic about doctors!!!!

Can't blame you for wanting to cut back on some activities. Life can get a bit out of hand at times. Thanks SO much for stopping by to visit!
